A designer, researcher and lover of all things breakfast.

My name is Dara Kissel and I am a recent Neuroscience and Business Administration graduate from the University of Michigan. I am currently working as a Cell Biology Research Associate at Beam Therapeutics, with future plans of attending medical school.

I know what you’re thinking: science and graphic design? Unusual combo. However, in many ways, they parallel one another. My dual passions for science and graphic design fall at the intersection of creativity and curiosity. I strive to explore the unknown, to create a path for myself where no one has walked before. Whether I’m behind my computer meticulously creating on Adobe Illustrator, or behind a lab bench performing neuromuscular surgery on rats for my research lab, science and graphic design are both mediums that allow me to explore the dynamic, off-beaten + adventurous life I so desire.

I hope you enjoy looking through my page as much as I have enjoyed creating it.
